The Last Best Ride

Don’t be scared off by the bear spray offered for purchase with your registration. This is Whitefish, Montana, is one of the wildest, most spectacular mountain settings you will ever have the privilege of exploring on two wheels. Co-organized by pro gravel cyclist Jess Cerra, this ride is a homage to her hometown, and you’ll feel like you’re getting the local’s tour of the very best gravel routes in the Whitefish area. There are two ride distance options—48 miles or 78 miles—with ample elevation gain in each. Jess and crew aren’t planning just an epic ride day, though. There’s a Friday night welcome dinner, Saturday expo and block party, and lots of post-ride treats you won’t find at any other finish lines (local Huckleberry ice-cream, anyone?). We also love the significant give-back element: 20 percent of race proceeds (in addition to any supplemental donations) will fund scholarships for two local women pursuing post-secondary education. thelastbestridemt.com
